Qantas has cut its one-way bubble services through Tasmania, including scrapping its Sydney-Christchurch route entirely, even before the first flight took off.
Starting Friday, New Zealanders who have not been to a designated Covid-19 hotspot in the past 14 days can travel to New South Wales and the Northern Territory without needing to go into quarantine.

Following news of the bubble, Qantas said it would operate six Sydney-Auckland flights per week and four Sydney-Christchurch flights. Its Jetstar subsidiary would offer three flights from Sydney to Auckland per week, it said.
However, Qantas canceled its Christchurch service, the first flight of which was scheduled to leave Christchurch airport at 3.30pm on Friday.
