Commuters on State Highway 1 in Auckland could experience heavy traffic between Puhoi and Wellsford until 8pm tonight, while between Manukau and Mumbai it is expected to be busy until 4:30 pm

Waka Kotahi said at 12:15 p.m. M. That a truck had broken down in the north lane of the South Freeway, before the Omahu Road bridge in Greenlane. He said motorists can be asked to slow down and must pass very carefully.

Meanwhile, two southbound lanes on the Auckland Harbor Bridge are now closed for about a week for resurfacing and other maintenance.

Police are urging drivers heading south from Christchurch to be patient after an accident caused delays on the Rakaia Bridge.

Today’s accident closed the southbound lane of the bridge causing significant delays.

Police say both lanes are now open, but southbound traffic is still jammed to Dunsandel.
