The Wiggles last visited New Zealand in 2019, when tickets for their seven-day tour sold out so quickly that parents were outraged at being lost. More shows piled up on the schedule, 14 performances over a week, each of which sold out so fast that some didn’t even believe the tickets had been released.
Parents turned to social media to vent at the time: “There is no way those tickets were going on sale to the public. In the exact second they were counted, they were sold out.”
“Who are these tickets being given to?” wrote another.
Tickets for the 2021 shows will go on sale at 1 p.m. on Thursday, November 26. Some pre-sale tickets will be available on Monday, November 23 at 1 pm.
The Wiggles are the most popular children’s group in the world. They have sold more than 30 million DVDs and CDs, and are watched in more than 190 countries, and next year marks 30 years as a children’s entertainment group.
