“Some customers are experiencing intermittent loss of 4G Internet connectivity, which we believe is affecting only PostPay (on account) customers.”

He could not confirm how many people were affected.

At 7.50 p.m. M., The spokeswoman said that services were being restored and Vodafone was closely monitoring the problem as 4G returned to normal.

“We apologize for impacting some people’s nights.

“If someone is still having trouble connecting, we recommend that they restart their device.”

Despite Vodafone saying the outage had only affected 4G, some customers reported otherwise.

One said she had had connection problems “for hours” and said that 3G was also not working.

Another customer said he hadn’t had internet since 5pm, as he has wireless broadband that uses 4G data.

For about two and a half hours, he had been calling Vodafone “constantly” but had been unable to communicate, he said.

Other customers also reported that the Vodafone 0800 number was down, but the spokeswoman said it was likely because they were experiencing extremely high call volumes.
