Tesla CEO Elon Musk and musician Grimes have announced the birth of their first child.

Musk announced the birth of his son on Twitter, saying, “Mom and baby, all good.” In follow-up tweets, Musk wrote that the couple has a baby.

The photos showed him cradling the baby in his arms while he was in the hospital, and the other showed his son lying in bed with a tattoo filter applied.

Musk posted a photo of him holding the newborn on Monday night.

He had also replied to a follower who liked the tattooed image, writing: “Thank you 🙂 Never too young for a little ink haha”.

A Twitter user asked Musk for his son’s name, to which he replied: “X Æ A-12 Musk.”

It was not immediately clear if new father Musk was having fun with his followers with this tweet, which appeared to be partially inspired by one of the songs from Grimes’ latest album: 4ÆM.

He is the first son of Grimes: Musk has five children with his first wife, Justine.

Grimes announced that she was pregnant in January through a social media post that showed her a fetus with Photoshop on her belly.

During a live broadcast on Twitch in February, he said the baby’s due date was May 4. Musk tweeted that the baby was due on Monday.

Grimes has said he will allow his firstborn to decide his own gender.

“I don’t want to say the baby’s gender … I feel like their privacy should be protected,” he said. “I don’t think they can consent to being famous or in public. The couple’s first child comes almost exactly two years after their debut as a couple.
