Taskmaster NZ: Team Revealed As Show’s Launch Date Approaches

The wait is over, Taskmaster New Zealand will debut on October 21.

Jeremy Wells will be the all-powerful “Taskmaster,” with loyal assistant Billy T, award nominee Paul Williams, Guy Williams’ brother, Paul Williams at his side.

Some other New Zealand comedians will join them on screen, including actress, comedian and writer Madeleine Sami, comedian Leigh Hart, award-winning Billy T comedian Angella Dravid, comedian and television personality Guy Williams, and the actor and comedian Brynley Stent.

Everyone will fight to be crowned Taskmaster Champions.

Wells and Williams will put contestants through a series of bizarre, hilarious and often ingenious tasks, pushing them to the limit of comic invention.

The comedians are tasked with impressing “Taskmaster” Wells, who will ditch their points and praise.

Taskmaster has proven to be a success abroad. The format of the show was created by British comedian Alex Horne, and is a comedy panel game show where the wit of the comedians is put to the test.

Wells said he is “super excited” about the new role.

Williams says the new role is a “dream come true” and is a huge fan of the show.

“I know I have to fill little Alex Horne’s gigantic shoes, but I will bravely accept this task. I can’t wait for New Zealand to watch the show, I think they will like it very much. If they don’t, he will personally accept full responsibility and move to Perth “.
