American actors Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde have ended their engagement after nine years together.
The couple, who have two children, Otis Alexander, 6, and Daisy Josephine, 4, apparently separated earlier this year, People reports.
“The separation happened at the beginning of the year,” said a source close to the couple.
“It has been friendly and they have transitioned into a great co-parenting routine. Children are the priority and the heart of the family relationship.”
Wilde, 36, who directed Booksmart, and the Horrible Bosses actor, 45, began dating in 2011, and Sudeikis proposed to her in 2013. The couple never married.
“I met her at a final SNL party,” Sudeikis told Stephen Colbert on The Late Show in 2017. “We hit it off that night.”
In 2013, Wilde told Allure that he thought Sudeikis was “so lovely” when they first met, but claimed that he “didn’t even get my number.”
“For the next six months we continued to meet,” he said. “[One night], my best friend came up to him and said, ‘This is Olivia’s number. Use it. That was the beginning. “
Meanwhile, production on Wilde’s recent film Don’t Worry Darling, which has been filming in Los Angeles, was temporarily shut down after a member of the production tested positive for coronavirus, New Line reports.
Despite following strict Covid-19 protocols, the result was detected during routine tests.
According to Deadline, the study did not disclose who returned with the positive test, but the publication found that he was not a cast member.
Due to the positive test, the cast members have been sent to routine isolation for 14 days.
The film, directed by Wilde, stars Chris Pine, Harry Styles and Florence Pugh.
