The ashes of James Doohan, who played Scotty in the original Star trekthey are reportedly hidden on the International Space Station.

Before turning to acting, Doohan had served in the military. He was a veteran of World War II. He died, aged 85, in 2005.
Garriott, a video game maker, traveled to the ISS for 12 days in 2008. He called the mission to smuggle the ashes into space as “completely underground.”
This was not the first time that Doohan’s ashes had been thrown into space. A Space X flight in 2012 carried an urn of his ashes into space.
