The All Blacks will play a couple of test matches Sunday afternoon against the Wallabies in New Zealand next month.
NZ Rugby has confirmed that the first round of the Bledisloe Cup will be at Wellington’s Sky Stadium on Sunday, October 11, and the second will take place a week later at Eden Park in Auckland on Sunday, October 18.
Wellington’s test date also eliminates any clash with New Zealand’s general elections, which take place the day before the capital’s game on Saturday, October 17.
Both games will start at 3:30 pm.
NZR Executive Director Mark Robinson says they are grateful to the New Zealand government for easing isolation restrictions to allow the Wallabies to enter the country and prepare for test matches, and also thanked Rugby Australia for their support for.
Robinson says: “We recognize that this has been a complex and challenging puzzle to solve and we are grateful that both rugby organizations, together with our government, have come together to bring these matches to cross the line.
