Donald Trump’s personal advisor and attorney Rudy Giuliani went to Fox Business today to exaggerate his allegations against Joe Biden and his son, Hunter.

He was hopelessly derailed.

Giuliani has been investigating corruption allegations against the Bidens for a long time; In particular, he traveled to Ukraine last year to seek evidence involving energy company Burisma.

He’s the one who reportedly provided footage from Hunter’s laptop to the New York Post, prompting his first story on the subject a couple of weeks ago.

The main allegations here are that Hunter tried to cash in on his father’s name overseas, which certainly appears to be true, and that Biden himself profited from Hunter’s business dealings, for which there is currently no evidence whatsoever.

So, the interview. Giuliani spoke with Fox Business host Lisa Kennedy Montgomery and was upset when she suggested that his efforts to unearth the Bidens were comparable to those of former British spy Christopher Steele four years ago.

To refresh his memory, Steele was hired to conduct an opposition investigation into then-presidential candidate Donald Trump. He assembled a file of lewd and unsubstantiated accusations, most of them related to Russia.

The Steele file remains a sensitive topic for the president, and Giuliani did not appreciate the comparison.

“Some may say that you are acting like Christopher Steele, that you were abstracting information,” Kennedy told him.

“You have got to be kidding me. Was he acting like Christopher Steele?” Giuliani replied.

“You better apologize for that. I mean, I’ve been a United States Attorney, Assistant Attorney General, Mayor of New York City, and a member of the bar for 50 years. I’ve never been charged with anything, and you “They accuse me of being Christopher Steele.”

“I am accusing you of acting in a capacity similar to Christopher Steele, and that you were going back and forth between Ukraine and the United States,” Kennedy clarified.

“What you are saying is a scandalous defamation of me, of my reputation,” Giuliani replied.

“I came to your show in good faith to provide you with evidence that is being withheld from the American people, and they defame me. That is outrageous. I think our interview is over.

“This may be the last time we are in front of the camera because I don’t let people call me Christopher Steele.”

At one point in the interview, Giuliani alleged that there was criminal material on Hunter’s laptop; I’m not going to go into any more details than that, because it is defamatory and not fully verified.

“We’ll have the folks in our news departments verify all of this,” Kennedy commented, a bit dryly.

There was more screaming before the interview ended.

The Giuliani interview has earned Kennedy few fans among President Trump’s supporters.
