Princess Eugenie is pregnant with her first child

Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, are expecting their first child early next year.

The news was announced on social media through the official accounts of the royal family.

“Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in early 2021,” read a tweet posted by the royal family account.

“The Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York, Mr. and Mrs. George Brooksbank, the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh are delighted with the news,” he added.

Princess Eugenie is the youngest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson and is 10th in line to the throne.

The couple’s firstborn will be eleventh in line to the throne, bringing down Prince Edward, the Earl of Wessex, to the twelfth.

Brooksbank and the princess were married on October 12, 2018 at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, after being together for seven years.

He asked the question while the couple was on vacation in Nicaragua.
