Prince Andrew is being removed from the Duke of Edinburgh’s centenary celebrations following the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.
He will not be invited to the celebrations and organizers have been told to leave him out of the photos for a photo exhibition, according to The Sun.
Prince Philip’s team has also prohibited Andrew from writing the introduction to the show’s program.
A source said: “There is a warning from above to minimize Andrew. He will be included as little as possible.”
“This is not about whitewashing history because it cannot be completely set aside. But her relationship with the Duke of Edinburgh will not do much of anything over the years.
“Obviously this is proving difficult because he is his son and he is minimizing his role in the family.
Prince Philip will turn 100 next June. The Royal Collection Trust, which is in charge of the art and exhibits in the UK’s 13 royal residences, is holding a photo exhibition to commemorate the event.
But the trust said the plans “were not yet confirmed.”
Andrew, who has already been removed from photos shared by the palace for his daughter Beatrice’s wedding, resigned from his royal duties after a “disastrous” interview about the Epstein scandal last November.
Her 60th birthday celebrations were canceled after Virginia Giuffre claimed he slept with her after Epstein smuggled her at age 17.
Andrew has always denied the allegations. Jeffrey Epstein was found dead in prison last year after being arrested by the FBI.
