A girl recovers in hospital after a water incident at a Hauraki holiday park.
Miranda Holiday Park was sending prayers and reminding families to watch out for their children around the water, but said in an update Tuesday that the girl is now recovering well.
Emergency services were called to Miranda Holiday Park around 8 p.m. Monday.
The girl was in serious condition when she was flown to Starship by rescue helicopter, an alert from St John said.

A police spokeswoman said it appeared that a medical event may have triggered the incident.
“Unfortunately last night we had a water incident involving a small child,” said a statement from Miranda Holiday Park.
“The girl is in the hospital and our thoughts and prayers are with her and her family. Currently that is all we know.
“Please take this as a reminder wherever you are this summer, to watch your children in and around the water.”
But in an update to the statement Tuesday, Holiday Park said the boy is now recovering well.
“We have listened to and confronted his family! Very happy for her and her family! But this is a good reminder to keep our children safe and watch over them at all times as accidents can happen in the blink of an eye. “
St John sent two vehicles to the holiday park to treat the girl, before she was taken to the hospital by helicopter, an alert said.
