After he leaves office, US President Donald Trump is expected to live at his Palm Beach club. But those plans are being challenged.
Some of Trump’s neighbors, fed up with four years of road closures and security checks, don’t want Trump to live in Mar-a-Lago. They claim that he lost that right when he converted Mar-a-Lago into a club in 1993.
Regardless, living in Mar-a-Lago as a former president who lost his bid for reelection will be very different from visiting on weekends.
The differences include:
Lower security
A much smaller detail from the Secret Service will keep an eye on the former first family as well as the 500 club members plus club guests who will attend numerous weddings, charity fundraisers, photo shoots and a rental car show. the installations.

Louder living arrangements
The family’s homes have reportedly been remodeled, but they will still be much smaller than the top three floors of the Trump Tower in Manhattan, where they lived before moving into the White House.
Life is likely to be louder. Mar-a-Lago is located directly under the main flight path from Palm Beach International Airport.
The planes flying over the property are so noisy that Trump once sued PBIA. While he served as president, air traffic was diverted from Mar-a-Lago for security reasons.
Once Trump is former president of the United States, the planes are expected to fly directly over the club again.
No more superfans waving
Some Trump supporters lining the presidential caravan route, mostly along Southern Boulevard, vow to continue their vigils. Former President Trump’s caravan will be much smaller and Trump’s schedule will no longer be public.
Goodbye private helipad
Then there is the helipad, the only private helipad on the island. The city council reluctantly gave Trump permission to build on two conditions: that it only be used for official presidential business; and that it be removed when Trump leaves office.
Over the years, Trump’s private corporate helicopter has been spotted on the platform. Plans to remove it have yet to be announced.
