Police looking for a potentially armed robber are asking the public for information about a “distinctive” car used by the fleeing suspected criminal.
A man brandishing what appeared to be a shotgun took cash from the Railway Tavern in Richmond Monday around 2:40 p.m. after threatening the innkeeper, Travis Cooper.
Police said in a statement Thursday that the alleged offender left the bar and got into a gray Honda Ascot with registration number XG6169.

“This vehicle is distinctive and will be easily recognizable. The vehicle left the scene and headed towards the Waimea Old Boys Rugby Club and was last seen heading east from Church Street towards Dorset Street. “
The police called anyone with information about the car or its whereabouts who would contact the police and quote the docket number 201012/3445.
