Police were examining property in Karori on Sunday afternoon after a man’s body was found. His death is being treated as suspicious.
The death of a man in the Wellington suburb of Karori on Sunday morning is being treated as suspicious.
Police confirmed they were called to a home in the western suburb at 8:30 a.m. Sunday after a family member found a dead man.
Detective Inspector Darrin Thomson said the death, at a home on Percy Dyett Dr, was being treated as suspicious.
A neighbor said Stuff heard a house party, one of several in a group at the end of a long drive, on Saturday night that lasted until at least 11.30am.

The neighbor said that the police and ambulance regularly visited the group of houses.
On Sunday afternoon, there was a large police presence on the property and police went door to door.
A police officer was guarding the end of the property’s driveway and policemen dressed in forensic clothing were inside the home.
Thomson said the Institute for Environmental Science and Research was being called in to help examine the scene.
At one in the afternoon, no one was in custody.
Police were investigating the circumstances surrounding the death and had no further information.
