The nephew of the infamous drug lord Pablo Escobar has said he found a plastic bag of cash worth $ 18 million ($ 27 million) hidden in the wall of one of his uncle’s houses.

Nicolas Escobar he told the Colombian television channel Red + Noticias He had found other items next to the bills, some of which are damaged and unusable, in the apartment. They include a gold pen, satellite phones, a typewriter, and a roll of undeveloped film.

In the interview, he said that he was once kidnapped by people looking for Escobar’s whereabouts: “They tortured me for seven hours. Two of my workers were attacked with a chainsaw.”
