A person is believed to have entered through a sliding door from a balcony, which overlooks a suburban park, and shot a man before fleeing the scene last month.
Wellington Police are looking for witnesses who may have been in the Skyline Reserve area, off Percy Dyett Drive, in Karori in the early hours of December 20, when 33-year-old Rau Tongia was shot and killed.
No one has been charged with the homicide and police hope to speak to anyone who may have been in the area at the time.
“Anyone who has been on Percy Dyett Dr or the nearby park area between 4.30am and 4.45am and has heard a gunshot noise or unusual noise, or noticed any suspicious activity, should contact the investigation team. “Detective Sergeant Stephen Wescott said.

“The investigation team would like to speak to anyone who has information regarding both vehicles traveling in a convoy on Karori Road at around 4.44 am.
“Anyone who drives in this area or the Greater Wellington area between 4 a.m. M. And 6 a. M. From Sunday, December 20, who has images from the dash cam and may have passed in front of these vehicles, he should contact the investigation team, ”he said.
