The accident left the bus driver seriously injured.
A bus in New York City, USA, ran off a road and was left hanging from an overpass in an accident late Thursday (local time) that caused serious injuries to the driver, police said.
The vehicle, an articulated bus, crashed shortly after 11 p.m. at the intersection between the Cross Bronx and Major Deegan freeways.
The images showed one part of the tandem bus still resting on the bridge, with the other half hanging almost completely vertical, with its shattered front end resting on the road ramp below.
Seven passengers suffered minor to non-fatal injuries, according to the New York City Fire Department.

The passengers and the driver were taken to hospitals for treatment.
“The bus fell approximately 50 feet (15 m) onto the access road. The patients suffered injuries consistent with a fall from such a great height, ”Deputy Fire Chief Paul Hopper said in a post on social media.
Firefighters will secure fuel and any other hazardous materials before placing the bus completely on the road, Acting Battalion Chief Steven Moore said in the post.
No other vehicle was involved in the accident.
