New MacBook Pro detail leak

The coronavirus pandemic has changed many things, but one thing that has not changed is that Apple launches new products. And benchmark test results suggest Apple has a new 13-inch MacBook Pro in the works.

Well, maybe it’s not the 13-inch model, but more on that in a moment.

Twitter user @_rogame discovered the 3DMark benchmarks for the new MacBook Pro.

As you can imagine, there is not much information.

  • Intel Core i7-1068NG7 processor 2.3GHz base 4.1GHz boost
  • 32 GB of RAM
  • 2 / 4TB SSD

The i7-1068NG7 processor is a tenth-generation Intel Ice Lake-U chip that has yet to be officially confirmed. The move to Ice Lake-U from Whiskey Lake-U is likely to be a significant performance boost.

Given the specification of this system, this appears to be a high-end offering and would cost more than $ 3,000. Apple is also likely to release a cheaper version with a Core i5 processor.

The most interesting thing about this “leak” is the suggestion that it may not be a 13-inch MacBook Pro, but a new 14-inch model: Apple released the 15-inch to 16-inch MBP, so why not upgrade? the 13 inch to 14 inch?
