MP MIDI Controller gives you a hands-on experience of your plug-ins

MIDI controllers are fantastic. They break down some of the barriers between software and user, allowing producers to add more nuanced expressions to their software plug-ins. Still, sometimes it can be a painstaking process to click multiple windows with a mouse to assign parameters, let alone find a controller with enough dials and knobs to make your software really feel like hardware. MP MIDI recognizes that you have a better choice with your new MIDI controller.

With a 21.5-inch screen surrounded by 32 encoders, the MP MIDI Controller seamlessly integrates with your DAW, running as its own plug-in, MP Host, in VST3, AU and AAX format. The driver scans and loads its plugins, which you can then select and display on the screen. The 32 MP MIDI Controller encoders can be used on up to four pages, which means you can assign 128 parameters from one plug-in to the controller.

MP Host allows you to control one plug-in at a time, but the settings are stored in your DAW project to allow full recovery. This means that when you open the plugin it will be loaded into the MP MP Controller with the same parameters set as when you saved your project.

On the MP MIDI website, the brand states: “MP Midi Controller creates a new DAW experience that no other controller has been able to offer. The controller is effortlessly integrated into your music production workflow. Templates of many popular plugins and templates are provided that allow you to assign your plugins in minutes. Whether you’re working on an instrument plug-in or an audio effect, you can now access any parameter control directly and test things, just like working on a large console. ”

The price is not yet known, but it is reported that the controller has been testing beta for three months and is about to start manufacturing.
