Sao Young was a beloved father and brother, who lived a semi-transitory lifestyle in Hamilton.
Police have made further arrests in connection with the death of Hamilton’s man, Sao Young.
Young, 40, was last seen on the night of March 12 in the Insoll Ave area of Hamilton and police believe it was that night he was killed.
After his death, his body was allegedly taken to a rural property on Ballard Rd in Gordonton, where it was discovered by a farmer almost a month later, on April 13.
A 20-year-old woman appeared in Hamilton District Court Thursday charged with being an accessory to the murder, two counts of kidnapping and two other counts of wounding with intent to cause serious bodily harm.
Another woman, 34, was arrested Thursday and will appear in Hamilton District Court on Friday charged with murder and kidnapping.
A 24-year-old man has already appeared in court charged with Young’s murder. He was placed in pretrial detention and is due to reappear in Hamilton District Court on October 6.
Detective Inspector Graham Pitkethley said officers were continuing to investigate Young’s death and did not rule out further arrests.
