An elementary school teacher has shared the rude and “crazy” texts a parent sent her in response to a simple request.

The teacher took to Reddit to share the text message exchange, exposing the tough jobs educators have when it comes to dealing with helicopter parents.

“I’m an elementary school teacher browsing this crazy online format. Fortunately, parents are super rational,” read the sarcastic title of the Reddit thread.

A teacher had a simple request for parents, but a mother's angry response left her speechless.
A teacher had a simple request for parents, but a mother’s angry response left her speechless.

The teacher had sent a message to the parents of the students in her French class with a simple request to facilitate e-learning.

“It would be wonderful to work with slates this week,” he said.

“Folder covers or plastic sheet inserts work great in place of a whiteboard.”

While the teacher’s message got a positive response from most parents, one mother was unhappy.

“On Sunday afternoon, would you like us to have white boards available by tomorrow?” the mother replied.

“I know (student’s name) has a blackboard on the wall,” said the teacher, revealing that some mothers had already taken her advice.

But suddenly the polite conversation took a bitter turn.

“And clearly (it’s) none of your business, since you’re not supposed to wear it to school,” said the mother.

“How dare you look in my personal space and say that?”

“Whether in Zoom or not, you, AS YOUR TEACHER, do not have the right to look into my personal space and say what is or is not on my walls.”

The teacher then clarified that her student had already used the blackboard in class, which meant she hadn’t even been looking behind the student.

The mother went on the offensive again.

“I know … thanks for the tip,” he said.

“ANYWAY, NOT YOUR PLACE to comment on my house! And what I have in it! That was CLARED!”

Unsurprisingly, the internet was very supportive of the poor teacher.

“Oh!” she said in person.

Five people called the mother “crazy.”

“That father needs to establish his son’s background on something else or realize what he will see behind them,” said a Reddit commenter.

“She’s just looking for a reason to be shit to someone who in no way deserved it,” someone else commented.
