Porsche driver Richard Pusey received a series of charges following an alleged dramatic incident on a rooftop Sunday night that resulted in police breaking into his home.

You have been charged with threatening death, false imprisonment, endangering conduct, assault under common law, violating the condition of bail conduct, committing an indictable offense while on bail, and using a telecommunications service to harass.

The charges follow an alleged assault that occurred on the property around 11:30 p.m. Sunday, a Victoria police spokeswoman said.

Officers were called to Fitzroy’s property after reports of screaming and broken windows.

Neighbors say he was “delirious” on his rooftop before specialized police broke in due to concerns about Pusey’s well-being after he refused to let officers in.

“Responding officers expressed concern for the welfare of those involved after it was reported that people could be heard yelling and windows being broken,” a police spokeswoman said.

“The resident of the house was contacted by the police, but they did not provide him access to the property.

“Police cordoned off the area and officers from the critical incident response team negotiated with the man before he turned himself in to police without incident.”

Mr. Pusey, 42, was found on the roof and taken to St Vincent Hospital for evaluation.

Attorney Chris McLennan told NCA NewsWire that his client was “lucid” and “seemed fine.”

A neighbor said that Mr. Pusey started “blasting” loud dance music around 9pm.

He said he thought it was around midnight when he heard loud screams and discovered that Mr. Pusey was “ranting” on the roof of his apartment.

“If I remember correctly, he was saying, ‘You broke his heart,'” he said.

“Oh, I was delirious. It would soften a little and then sound loud again.”

The neighbor said it was the first time he had heard Mr. Pusey rant on his roof.

But he said the apartment was known to the locals because of the frequent loud music playing at all hours.

There also seemed to be multicolored flashing disco lights installed in the “beautiful” apartment.

“The problem the neighborhood has is that it plays what I would describe as very loud dance music and sometimes late at night,” said the neighbor.

He said he had been forced to buy noise-canceling headphones for a family member specifically because of the loud music played in Pusey’s apartment late at night while they were trying to sleep.

“It has increased recently,” he said.

“It was quiet for a while, and in the last three weeks or so it seems to have increased.

“All the neighbors want is peace and quiet and living undisturbed.”

Footage from the incident allegedly shows Mr. Pusey yelling from the ceiling as red and blue emergency lights illuminate the street.

A woman was also home at the time, but was not injured and is assisting police with their investigation, Victoria police said.

On Monday morning, the entrance to the mortgage broker’s house had been blocked with wooden boards.

The metal door through which the police broke in was bent and fastened, and the six windows facing the street had their shutters down.

Police executed a search warrant overnight and remained at the scene until 10 a.m. Monday.
