Police arrested a 28-year-old man for an alleged stabbing in Alexandra last week.
A man who allegedly stabbed a 22-year-old man in Alexandra last week turned himself in to police.
Police said they arrested the 28-year-old man after he turned himself in on Monday morning.
He appeared in Queenstown District Court on Monday afternoon and was placed on remand to reappear at a later date.
A 22-year-old man was injured in Alexandra around 11:30 pm last Wednesday, and the police called for the person responsible to come forward.

Police believed the two men knew each other and had been involved in an incident that same night.
Since then, the victim had been released from Dunedin Hospital and was recovering, police said.
The man had been charged with injuring with intent to cause serious bodily injury along with several other charges in connection with previous violent crimes.
“This was a distressing incident for our community and these types of incidents will not be tolerated,” police said in a statement.
