Police continue to treat the death of a 25-year-old man in Lower Hutt as “inexplicable” and no arrests have been made.

An autopsy Wednesday morning can give police a clearer understanding of what happened at a property on Burke Gr in Naenae Monday night.

Police confirmed that a meeting was taking place at the home.

An ambulance was called shortly before 11 p.m. and attempts to revive the man were unsuccessful.

Relatives waiting on the street for more news said Stuff the man was visiting the property.

On Tuesday, forensic police personnel and pathologists were at the home.

A 25-year-old man has died in circumstances that remain “inexplicable” in Naenae.

A tent had been set up at the rear of the property along with screens to block out the scene from Naenae Elementary School, which overlooks the property.

Principal Murray Bootten said his school was continuing normally.

A neighbor at the cul-de-sac said she saw the emergency services flashing lights around 11 p.m. from her living room window.

“Before we knew it, there were a lot of policemen, both of them and sniffer dogs,” he said.
