NASA has released a new video of its Perseverance rover landing on Mars.

The US space agency rover landed on the red planet on February 19 equipped with a record 25 cameras and two microphones where it will search for signs of ancient life.

The video shows the entrance, descent and landing of the spacecraft and one of the microphones has been able to provide the first audio recording of the sounds of Mars from the Jezero crater.

Acting NASA Administrator Steve Jurczyk said: “For those wondering how to land on Mars, or why is it so difficult, or how cool it would be to do so, you need look no further.
