12 pm – Supporters of President Trump, who will remain in office until President-elect Biden is sworn in at the official inauguration on January 20, rally behind their leader as protests against the Democratic victory erupt in major cities.
Pictures of Phoenix, Arizona – A state declared blue by various outlets but has yet to be called out by others, including the New York Times – shows Trump voters rallying in support of the Republican president, waving flags, holding placards and yelling, “This is not over!” and “Stop the robbery!”
From Atlanta and Tallahassee to Bismarck, Boise and Phoenix, crowds of varying sizes condemned the news of Biden’s victory, the AP reports, and skirmishes broke out in some places.
In Atlanta, the capital of the state of Georgia, a longtime Republican stronghold, the chants of “Lock him up!” rang out among about 1,000 Trump supporters. Others chanted, “This is not over!” and “Fake news!”
Meanwhile, Biden supporters continue to celebrate outside the White House, dancing, celebrating and marching in commemoration of the Democrat’s victory.
