Timid Silver Ferns took a ‘step back’ against Roses

Silver Ferns coach Dame Noeline Taurua claims her team was too shy and took a step back, despite beating England Roses in the opening match of the Taini Jamison Trophy.
In their first test game since January, the Ferns led from start to finish against a weak English team, notching a 58-45 victory at Hamilton.
While Taurua is happy with the margin of victory, she is frustrated with her team’s performance, claiming that they missed the fight seen days earlier against men.
