Police are seeking information on a silver Nissan and a dark-colored vehicle seen near the scene of the Wellington homicide.
Police launched a homicide investigation after Rau Tongia was killed around 4.30am on Sunday, December 20, at a property on Percy Dyett Drive in Karori.
Police were notified at 8.30 a.m. that he had been found dead.
Detective Inspector Darrell Harpur said police identified and located a silver Nissan Dualis pickup with registration number MTG725 in their investigation.

The police have spoken with its owner.
But this vehicle along with possibly a small, dark-colored hatchback car were seen leaving Percy Dyett Dr near the time of the man’s death, he said.
A short time later, both vehicles were captured on CCTV in the Karori central business district on Karori Rd heading towards central Wellington.
“The investigation team would like to speak to anyone who has information regarding both vehicles traveling in a convoy on Karori Road at around 4.44 am.
“Anyone driving in this area, or in the Greater Wellington City area between 4 a.m. M. And 6 a. M. From Sunday December 20, who has images from the dashboard camera and has passed in front of these vehicles, he must contact the investigation team, “he said.
