Three of New Zealand’s leading broadcasters headline Coast’s new “feel good” sound with a new breakfast show.
Jason Reeves, Toni Street and Sam Wallace have teamed up for Coast Breakfast as the popular station launches a new new format on Monday.
NZME Chief Content Officer Mike McClung describes Coast’s new style “how to duplicate the best songs to feel good, regardless of when they were released.”
“From the 1960s to last week: There are absolute stacks of great songs to add to the Coast playlist. Think of everything from The Temptations to Adele. Otis Redding and Ed Sheeran. Feel good songs from acts like Queen , Fleetwood Mac and Elton John, to name just a few, mean drift. “
Street said his new concert was an “incredible opportunity to be a part of Coast’s evolution.”
“A good chat and a brilliant catalog of songs is the perfect way to start any day.”

Wallace added: “A lot is happening in the world right now, and our job is to make sure Coast listeners get everything they need, including a soundtrack for their morning, the latest news, and great company.”
Reeves, the current Coast Breakfast host for more than three years, said he hoped to introduce Toni and Sam to the Coast Breakfast audience.
“We’ve known each other for years, but we never had a chance to air together. Preparing for the new show in the past few weeks has been perfect. I’m looking forward to airing with these guys.”
The renovated coastline was actively targeting kiwis over 40 years old, said NZME radio and commercial chief Wendy Palmer.
“This is an audience that knows what they like, they are home buyers with the goal of being empty nests and they plan to enjoy it when they get there. Coastal advertisers can expect an active and engaged audience with lots of disposable income,” Palmer said. said.
Kiwis can listen to Coast on iHeartRadio or on different frequencies around New Zealand.
