Jess Brown of Palmerston North has her ornamental tattoo shaded by artist Sam Carter.
The human menagerie Jess Brown has an owl on her thigh, a fox on her calf, a lion on her side, and on Saturday she spent seven hours with a panther on her back.
She was one of many people who flocked to the Wellington Tattoo Convention at the Old Dominion Museum behind Pukeahu National Park over the weekend.
More than 90 tattoo artists from across New Zealand gathered on Saturday and Sunday for the convention.
Brown spent seven hours Saturday casting a shadow over a black panther on his back.
The tattoo represented strength and “female power”.
He had also had a lion by his side, representing his zodiac sign Leo, as well as a fox on his calf and an owl on his thigh.
They were all done by Hawke’s Bay tattoo artist Sam Carter.
