A man is handcuffed by the police after he is ordered to kneel.
A cricket match was interrupted by an alleged carjacking by a criminal carrying a pistol in West Auckland.
In another incident Saturday, two men were arrested on a nearby suburban shopping street at gunpoint by armed officers. Police say the arrests are not related to the theft of the car.
Officers pounced on a parking lot in Parrs Park, Glen Eden, just before noon after a report of a person presenting a firearm to two people.
The unrelated carjacking is understood to have occurred near a cricket game, and the players were seen being interviewed after the incident.

Police say there were no reports of injuries from the incident and officers continue to scour the area in search of the person responsible.
Video captured around the time of the alleged car hijacking shows police armed with rifles holding two men at gunpoint before searching a silver car in Glenmall Pl, Glen Eden.
Police say the arrests were not related to the theft of the car.

The video shows police yelling at a man to get down on his knees and put his hands on his head before an officer handcuffs him.
Another officer enters the frame pointing his rifle at the car.
The police then order a man in a red T-shirt at gunpoint to walk back and pull up his shirt.
“I’ve never seen anything like it,” a witness is heard saying on video.

Then they handcuffed and took the man in red.
The police then proceeded to search the silver sedan.

It is not known why the men were arrested.
It is not known whether the men were released or charged and police have been contacted for further comment.
