Green Party co-leader James Shaw visited Christchurch’s Rollickin Gelato on Tuesday and followed in his opposition’s footsteps while sampling a cone of their dedicated dessert, A Shaw High.
Last month, Act Party leader David Seymour also enjoyed his taste, David Smore, at Rollickin, while Labor leader Jacinda Ardern stopped by during a recent campaign visit.
The national and Cantabrian deputy Gerry Brownlee set the tone when he named Gerry Brownie after him.
The store has also conducted an informal election poll, based on the popularity of the flavor.

Shaw arrived at the Cashel St hall by bicycle along with 20 to 30 of his green supporters and MPs dressed in green, and also by bicycle, waving party flags. They all tried A Shaw High.
It’s a pistachio sorbet with almond milk, hemp crumble, and brownies. It is dairy free, gluten free, and vegan.

Shaw came to the Cashel St hall by bike along with 20 to 30 of his supporters and Green MPs.
Shaw, unlike his ice cream, is not vegan.
He spoke to his fans about bike paths and e-bikes and said he was a “safe cone man” when it came to ice cream.
