‘Grandpa Helped Build’: Jacinda Ardern’s Old Four-Bedroom Childhood Home on the Market

The warm and comfortable four-room place that hosted Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern growing up and stood out is on the market, and it could be yours.

The Ardern family home in Morrinsville, built by his grandfather, is for sale for $ 639,000.

Featuring a wood burning stove and styling in the Lockwood wood tones of the 80s, the home has been relocated to Thames St, and turned in the opposite direction.

The spacious north-facing living room enjoys the warmth of a heat pump and double glazing.

On social media, Ardern revealed that she was in the neighborhood and talked about a loving childhood that grew up in the family home.

“A quick walk around the house I grew up in,” he wrote.

Ardern talked about the quirks of the house, including the soft carpet in the bathroom.

“A while ago they moved it to a new section and I was upset to see it in a completely different way, but it is still the same beautiful house that my grandfather helped build, that creaked at night, had carpet in the bathroom, and that When you started the fire it was very hot upstairs and freezing everywhere.

“No matter which way I’m looking now, it was a lovely place to live.”

Two years ago, the home sold for just $ 356,000.

Ardern’s old home features an office, a master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, and a walk-in closet.

Ardern grew up in Morrinsville and Muripara when he was young.

The Prime Minister’s visit came when the city’s new arts center opened.

She said she was proud to come from such a great community.

“I am very proud to have come from Morrinsville and to have grown up here.”

Although she was an idealist, she believed that her upbringing had contributed to her being pragmatic as well.

“Ultimately, I think my appreciation and respect for other people’s opinions, even when they are different from mine, also comes from here.”

It was kind of a nostalgic homecoming for Ardern.

“I had a wonderful childhood and a wonderful education here and I also give credit in large part to the education I had at this school.”
