Hamish Walker is out of the House and on the real estate market.

The disgraced former Clutha-Southland MP has announced that he is joining Harcourts as a real estate salesman in Queenstown.

Walker said he had qualified and worked in real estate before entering Parliament, and was now getting back to his roots.

In July, the then national deputy announced that he would not seek re-election after it was discovered that he had leaked private information about Covid-19 patients to various media outlets.

The leak followed Walker’s claim that more than 11,000 Indians, Pakistanis and Koreans could be isolated in Queenstown, Dunedin and Invercargill.
