Eleven new cases of Covid-19, one historical, have been registered in New Zealand during the last two days, all in isolation.

There are no new cases in the community, the Health Ministry said today in a statement.
One case is historic and was detected in a person who arrived from Canada via the US on December 24. The person tested positive on routine tests on day three and remains in quarantine at a facility in Christchurch.
Another case came from the US on Christmas Eve, where they tested positive on routine tests on day three. They are now in quarantine at a Christchurch facility.
One case arrived in the country from India via the United Arab Emirates and Malaysia on December 26, where they tested positive on the second day. They are now staying in the Auckland quarantine facility.
One case arrived from South Africa via the United Arab Emirates on December 26. The result was positive in routine tests on day three and is in the Auckland quarantine facility.
One case arrived in the country from the Netherlands via the United Arab Emirates and Malaysia on December 26. This person tested positive for routine tests around the third day and is in the Auckland quarantine facility.
Three cases, traveling separately, arrived from the United Kingdom via the United Arab Emirates and Malaysia on December 27. One person was tested on arrival due to symptoms, while two others tested positive on routine tests on day three. They all stay in the Auckland quarantine facility.

One case, whose travel history is still being confirmed, arrived in the country on December 27, where it tested positive in routine tests on the third day. They stay in the Auckland quarantine facility.
One case came from the UK via Qatar and Australia on December 29. This person was examined on the first day because he was a contact for a known Covid-19 case. They stay in the Auckland quarantine facility.
Five previously reported people with coronavirus have now recovered. The total number of active Covid-19 cases in New Zealand now stands at 55. The total number of confirmed cases is 1,806.
The total number of tests processed by laboratories to date is 1,405,854.
