Election in the US: Donald Trump asks for donations to fight against the ‘radical left’ in an email to his supporters

US President Donald Trump says “radical Democrats” are trying to steal the election and has asked for donations to fight them.

Trump and Democratic challenger Joe Biden remain locked in a tight race for the presidency, such a close result could be in a few days.

The drama broke out tonight with Biden telling his supporters that “we are on our way” to win the election, but “we will have to be patient” until all the votes are counted. He said the result could be known tomorrow morning (US time), but “it may take a little longer.”

Moments later, Trump tweeted “we’re in a big time but they’re trying to steal the election. We will never let them do it …”

He said that no votes can be cast after the polls close, adding that he would make a statement tonight.

Emails, signed by Trump, are sent tonight to supporters of the Republican Party urging them to donate to his cause.

The email says they are going to “win big” but goes after “fake media and their Democratic partners” who refuse to drop out of the race.

“They will try to do whatever it takes to prevent us from winning, and that is why I need them to step up,” says one of the many emails sent recently.

“They don’t want another four more years of American greatness. They want to wrest power from the people and put it in the hands of the DC Swamp.

“They no longer want you to be in control of your country.

“We have to fight!”

The emails request donations of $ 5 to $ 20 or any amount to the cause.

The emails say that all patriots will need to step up and defend the results when the Republican party and Trump win the election.

“Contribute $ 5 immediately to fight and defend your radical left president.”
