Dozens of people were injured after a 33-story apartment building caught fire on Thursday night (NZT Friday) in the South Korean city of Ulsan, local media, including the Yonhap news agency, reported.
By early Friday morning (local time), 88 people who had fled the fire or been rescued had been hospitalized, Yonhap reported, citing rescue services.
Most had low-level injuries, including from smoke inhalation. It was not immediately clear if anyone had died in the fire.
The fire, which is believed to have started somewhere between floors 8 and 12 before spreading to the upper floors, was brought under control, but it is unclear if there is a risk of collapse.

Some media showed images of the structure engulfed in flames and burning concrete slabs falling to the street.
The strong winds are believed to have caused the fire to spread rapidly.
So far there have been no reports of deaths.
Rescuers from the fire brigade had tried to evacuate the 380 residents from the apartment building as quickly as possible, according to the report.
About 50 people fled to the roof of the building when the fire started.
Ulsan is a city of 1.2 million people in the southeast of the country.
