Trump left the White House by helicopter late Friday, around 6:30 p.m. local time, for the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, a White House official said.

White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany said the visit was a precautionary one and that Trump would work from the hospital’s presidential suite, which is equipped to allow him to continue his official duties.

“President Trump remains in a good mood, has mild symptoms and has been working all day,” he said.

“As a precaution, and on the recommendation of his physician and medical experts, the president will work from the presidential offices at Walter Reed for the next few days.

Earlier Friday, the White House said the White House doctor had injected the “fatigued” Trump with a cocktail of experimental antibodies.

First lady Melania Trump did not accompany the president to Walter Reed.
