Another man has been arrested in connection with the police investigation of a historic sex crime at the Dilworth School.

Yesterday, six men between the ages of 60 and 70 were arrested in connection with allegations dating back to the 1970s and early 2000s.
Police said yesterday that there are 17 victims.
Today, a 60-year-old man has been arrested and charged with rape, attempted rape, indecency and indecent assault.
More than 50 people have contacted the police since yesterday, when the police called for anyone with information to come forward. The school’s Trust Board also apologized to the students and assured anyone who wanted to speak that they “will be heard and believed.”
Police say they will follow up on investigations into any relevant matter.
“Police recognize that it can be difficult for victims to come forward,” Detective Sergeant Geoff Baber said in a statement.
“We respect the courage of those who have contacted us.
“We continue to encourage anyone who may have information that may assist our investigation to come forward.”
