Donovan Ave in Massey was blocked by emergency services.

A woman run over and murdered on a residential street was an employee of a blind and blind company.

Bill Liddell, director of Russells Curtains and Blinds, confirmed that one of the company’s employees and vehicles were involved in the incident in Massey, West Auckland.

Sergeant David Best previously said the woman died on Donovan Ave around 2:10 p.m. Wednesday.

The vehicle involved rolled down a driveway and struck a person, a police spokeswoman said.

“Initial inquiries indicate that no one was in the vehicle at the time.”

Liddell said Thursday that Russells employees were like family and that the news was “quite devastating.”

The employee’s family was supported, which was an “absolute fact.”

He said he could not comment further while waiting for a police report.

A police spokeswoman said police were continuing to investigate Thursday.

The woman’s death had been referred to the coroner.
