Covid-positive US First Couple tests come after one of the president’s aides contracted the virus.
Earlier, Conway’s daughter Claudia Conway said on the social media platform Tik Tok that her mother had been “coughing all over the house after Trump tested positive for Covid.”
Conway had attended an event a week ago with the president.
In August, Conway said he would leave the Trump administration to focus on his family. She was Trump’s campaign manager during her run in the 2016 election.
Trump was transferred to a military hospital from the White House lawn on Friday local time after testing positive for the virus the day before. He was reportedly fatigued and had a fever.
Footage taken as he climbed into the helicopter to the hospital showed him giving journalists a thumbs up.
First lady Melania Trump also tested positive but the couple’s son tested negative.
Local media have been busy rebuilding Trump’s moves for the past week, pointing to a breach of his administration’s own rules.
At the White House a few days earlier, Trump had publicly announced his nomination for a new Supreme Court justice. Since then, multiple people at that event, including a US senator, have been confirmed to have the virus.
