The Ministry of Health is ready to publish its daily update on the number of new Covid-19 cases out there.
The update will be sent by the ministry around 1:00 p.m.
There were four new Covid-19 cases yesterday, all in controlled isolation, including another Pakistani cricketer, the seventh case among the national cricket team on tour.
The rest of the team’s day three swab test results were negative and will undergo another round of testing on day 12.
“The exemption to train while in managed isolation is suspended pending the Canterbury DHB health medical officer deems they are satisfied that the training is unlikely to transmit Covid-19,” the ministry said.
The ongoing consideration was expected to last until at least early next week.
The team, which is located at the Chateau on the Park in Christchurch, was previously criticized by Health Director General Ashley Bloomfield for violating rules within the facility.

In relation to the Air New Zealand crew member who tested positive, all but one of his 18 close contacts now identified had tested negative. The results of the last person were pending.
The Health Ministry also reiterated the need for shoppers visiting stores to take advantage of Black Friday weekend sales to stay tuned.
“Anyone going out to make the most of Black Friday sales over the weekend should remember to scan with the NZ Covid Tracer app to keep a private record of their movements.”
Clients should also wear a mask in places where they cannot physically distance themselves from others and wash and sanitize their hands regularly.
