Controversial British television presenter Piers Morgan takes time off to present his breakfast show while awaiting the results of a coronavirus test.

Morgan said he will temporarily back down from filing Good morning great britain after developing a “mild” Covid-19 symptom.

Expect test results on Monday, UK time.

Morgan said in a tweet Sunday night that he had undergone a test and that he would stop performing his duties “on medical advice and as a precaution.”

His Twitter followers responded by saying, “I hope you’re fine Piers. We need you,” and “well, all the best Piers: I hope the test is negative and you’re okay.”

Cabinet Office Minister Michael Gove said the death toll in the UK is now 28,446.

Morgan has been classified as an essential worker, so he has been traveling to the Good morning great britain Television studio from his London home four mornings a week, putting him at greater risk of contracting the virus.
