The new cases are imported cases in a managed isolation facility, and one person arrived from Germany via the United Arab Emirates and Malaysia on September 21, the Health Ministry said.

The other person who tested positive arrived on a flight from the Philippines via Taiwan on September 23.

Both cases tested positive around the third day and were transferred to the Auckland quarantine facility, a Health Ministry spokesman said.

On Friday, the Health Ministry revealed a list of 15 places visited by a family of three who later tested positive for Covid-19.

Those cases come from the man who previously tested positive after completing isolation in Christchurch.

He, two members of his family and two others on the flight also tested positive for coronavirus.

On September 18, the Christchuch family traveled to Taupō, where they met 18 other people from various parts of New Zealand, before returning to Auckland on September 20.
