Veteran art director Matteo De Cosmo died of coronavirus at age 52.

Matteo De Cosmo, an art director who worked on Marvel television shows, including The Punisher and Luke Cage He has died of complications from the coronavirus. He was 52 years old.

De Cosmo, who was born in Italy and lives in New York, was art director on several ABC Studios series, including an upcoming pilot named Harlem’s kitchen which had to close production in March.

The show’s creator, Zahir McGhee, paid tribute to De Cosmo in a statement provided to Deadline.

“Making television is a challenge. But there are people who assure you every day with their talent, passion and smile that anything is possible. Matteo was one of those people, “said McGhee.

ABC Studios said in a statement: “We were heartbroken to learn that Matteo De Cosmo, a talented art director we had worked with on many productions, including a recent pilot, had passed away.”

“He was a true talent, incredibly creative and loved by all the people he worked with. We will miss him deeply and our hearts will be with his family and friends.”

Cosmo is survived by his wife Aris and son Marcello.
