Turns out it was just a cough.
Australian Federal Treasurer Josh Frydenberg tested negative for Covid-19 after a coughing fit during a speech to parliament on Tuesday.
Frydenberg had to constantly stop his speech while coughing and trying to catch his breath.
On Wednesday morning, Frydenberg wrote on Twitter that he had no coronavirus.
“I had the Covid-19 test done yesterday as a precaution on the advice of the Deputy Medical Director. This morning I received the test result that was negative.”
He said Tuesday that he would isolate himself as a precaution while waiting for the test results.
Last Friday, Australian Medical Director Brendan Murphy emphasized that the days of attending work while ill were over.
