Coronavirus: 1 million tests so far in ‘sustained team effort’

New Zealand’s one millionth Covid-19 test has been performed.

Saturday’s 3809 tests brought the country’s total testing to date to 1,000,764.

Chief Health Officer Ashley Bloomfield said the milestone showed a “sustained team effort.”

“I want to acknowledge everyone who has been tested to date and the skilled workforce that performs these tests.
