The National Police Dive Squad and three boats manned by members of the Coast Guard are searching for a missing man in the Manawatū River.
A body has been found in the search for a man in the loop of the Manawatū River near Foxton.
At around 4.15 p.m. Monday, the police dive team found the body of a man after a drone was found with the engine running in the morning.
Members of the police and coast guard had been searching since 8.35 a.m., when the empty boat was reported.
The body is believed to belong to a man seen on the ship previously, a police statement said.
